Earl Lock and Pam Gaible will teach Mount Making: The Design and Fabrication of Archival Mounts for Exhibits at the Center for Collections Care at Beloit College June 24-27, 2019.
Center for Collections Care courses are taught in the studio and laboratory spaces of the museums of Beloit College, Logan Museum of Anthropology and Wright Museum of Art. Participants work with tiny drill bits to create pinned mounts and learn how to cut, bend, and buff acrylic and braze metal to create custom mounts.
The program is residential and the course fee includes instruction, materials, accommodations, and breakfast and lunch. Early bird registration ($1350) ends March 31. More information is available online, but feel free to contact me directly with questions.
