Hi all,
I am reaching out to find solutions for a hanging mount for japanese scrolls. We have a dedicated wall case for ours now, which is lined with fabric, so we can no longer attach via screws and hooks like previous as we cannot puncture the fabric. I have a general idea on how to accomplish this, but was wondering if anyone had suggestions for something that could slide the top hanging hook up and down a bit of picture wire or something of the like? Thinking like a collet type thing, but I wasn't sure and wanted to see what others have done.
Thank you!
-June.
If I understand your request correctly the product you may find helpful is called a self gripping hook that self locks on stainless steel bowden cable. If you go to AS Hanging Display Systems look up self-gripping hook part H3007. That way you can suspend the thin wire cable(1-1.6mm)from the show case attach the self gripping hook and attach it to a support that holds the scroll. I suggest that the supporting cables go from top of show case to the bottom rather than hanging loose. Cheers
