The Penn Museum is looking for a project mountmaker to work on its Ancient Egypt and Nubia Galleries project. This specialized position requires steel and brass-working experience and will primarily be located at the museum’s off-site conservation facility in central New Jersey, with occasional work at the museum’s main campus in Philadelphia. The mountmaker will work closely with the project conservation team, engineers, curators, and other stakeholders to create structural supports for large-scale Ancient Egyptian architectural pieces. Projected salary is approximately $60,000 per year for a three-year position. Possible extensions available depending on project scope and funding.
