The Met's Objects Conservation Department is seeking an Assistant Conservation Preparator. The Assistant Conservation Preparator will be responsible for the design and manufacture of mounts and for the installation of objects exhibited in The Met's newly renovated Michael C. Rockefeller Wing. The Assistant/Associate Conservation Preparator will work exclusively on MCRW objects until that capital project is complete. At that point, they will transition to Ancient Near East and Cypriot objects.
The annual compensation range for this position is $72,000 - $74,000.
